Default Faster????

Which is faster? heritage with a HQ 95" build or a night rod special. I think the latter and want one. Have a heritage classic .... $4200 for an upgrade but love the blacked out special.

well depends on how you look at it... 4200 for an upgrade versus 16000 for a VRSC... you'll never get the "harley sound" out of a V-Rod but thinkat least a very well built 115 inch race motor to even approach the speed of a bone stock VRSC I own a heritage also but have never seen any kind of reliable 95 build that could approach the V in flat out performance you might get some off the line but by the time you hit third the V is passing you and you arent catching it

Used to have a 95" Heritage. No contest. The Night Rod Special would leave the FLSTC as a distant and diminishing dot in its mirrors. To be sure, I got kick out of the in-the-bike Heritage cruise, but if the question is faster... bye-bye Heritage. The VRSCDX would even easily bid farewell to my 110" CVO Road King. Would note there is something special about going fast on a cruiser, something even sportbikes (which I own) cannot match.

A couple of mechs where I bought my Night Rod had a similar discussion. The rookie claimed for $10 grand he could smoke a V-rod with Soft Tail. The old timer said "Good for you. For $27,000 youmight be able to out run a stock $15,000 Night Rod." The rookie forgot how much the Softie cost him in the first place and at the time list on the VRSCD was $14,995.

List on the VSCRD is still 14995. Probably the Best Harley bargain there is.
