Finally joined, I've been reading the forum off and on for about 8 months now. Decided to get a Harley as a gift to myself for the last 9 years of going back to school to finish my Bachelors, will be finished next summer (just in time for Biketoberfest), i'm only an hour from Daytona. New to Harley not new to riding. Biggest problem, trying to figure out which scoot I want o go with, long time Night Train fan, wife likes the Heritage Classic look, hell maybe I'll just get a V-rod and **** everyone off! When we were shopping for ours, the mama wanted a Heritage as well, I overrode her and got the EG, as I knew the Heritage would not be enough for trips.
We rented a Heritage over the summer while on vacation, and she thanked me for my wisdom. Food for thought. Nothing against the Heritage, I wish I had one as a second ride, but it felt small, and mama complained of her right foot being on fire from the dual exhaust on the right side.
Thanks for the welcome, and advice as well. Thats why I came to this forum, to get opinions and ideas so when I make my choice, I'll know what to expect.
PS, the wifes already complaining about her foot getting hot, and she hasn't even been on it yet.
Welcome from TN., you could compromise and get a RK a lot has to do with the intended use of the bike, but whatever you end up with you'll have a smile on your face.
