Hi everybody,
I would like to find answer for one troubleshooting with VRSCB of my girlfriend. I bought her this bike few monts ago. There are screaming eagle exhausts and bikes sounds really great. But with higher speeds this exhaust starts to vibrate horizontaly. I doesn´t looks good and makes a filthy scratch on the fork. How can I fix it?
I would tighten the two allen typescrews atop of the cans which hold the top/bottomcansin place and connects the top/bottom cans to each other. Also check for tightness the nut that holds the entire assembly to the frame. This is the one that has the pin on it.
It also can't hurt to check the allen that holdseach can to the auxilliary (middle section) of the exhaust and to ensure you are within torque specson the exhaust flanges. DO NOT over-tighten the nuts on these flanges. Stay within spec!!! Over-tighten these babies and you will pay a huge price!
If all this is good and you make adjustments...this oughta do it.
Billy's right, you should check all of the fasteners connecting the exhaust to the engine, connecting the exhasut to the frame and those connecting each piece of the exhaust to the others.
