Ok, so that thought together with V&\\;\\\\\\;H needs brings to mind the description of the VRSCFA from the old VRF: cowl induction on the air box and windscreen/bodywork.

 \\;\\\\\\;sorta like ram air im sure something like the firebolt's would be able to do something like that...
and if they put a set of R controls on it and inverted forks it'd be one mean bike. the vrod looks great with the firebolt fairing as it is
never seen a VRF whats it look like?

The Firebolt fairing does look like something that could fit well on the R, being that it is so very different than the other models.

I sure hope that MoCo continues to have at least one mid-control model.

Also, the power, smoothness and liquid cooling of the V-Rod mill certainly lends itself to touring duty\\; that's why I still can't believe that they have not come out with a factory V-Bagger. It's just a matter of time and, who knows, this may just be the time! \\;
