i recently purchased a 2008 \\;nightrod special i currently have only 379 miles on it not even broken in however i noticed that when coming to a complete stop at a stop sign or stop light while apply both brakes \\;or my back brake only the back  \\;brake seems to  \\;squeek or squeal it still stops with no problem however noise is annoying does or did any one else have or had \\;this problem and if so what to do???????????? do they need cleaning or are they going bad please help
I'd suggest feeling the rotors with your hand all the way around on both sides and see if you feel any rough areas. \\; If you do, you may have dirty or bad pads or something stuck onto the pads from the manufacturer or from the build. \\; Outside of that, it just may mean they have to break in and over time and more wear, the squeal may stop. \\; 379 miles in my opinion isn't enough for pads to have broken in and wear off the outer coating and/or \\;build dirt on the pads since not all 379 miles are with breaks applied.
 \\;
One question...as you apply more pressure to the brakes...does the squeal stop?
 \\;
If its annoys you, take the bike back to the dealer (if you bought it from a dealer...I assume you did being a 08) and have them give her a check. \\; Should be free and can't hurt right and it's just not worth ignoring a possible break issue. \\; Plus...it's on record and filed.
 \\;
Regardless, let us know what you find as your info may help others.

I would say give'em more time and miles \\;and work 'em pretty hard for another 600 or so miles. \\; I'd be curious if the squeal works its way out after the pads break in. \\; Sometimes, depending on the type of pad...the squeal never goes away. \\; You can always take it back to the stealer!
I had that same problem. There is nothing wrong with the rotors, it's all in Harley's design of the pads. They suck and the problem won't disappear with time or miles. It's the stock \\;Brembo pads, nothing else. The only thing that stopped mine from making that terrible noise was changing to Lyndall pads.
