IMO that might have been a better platform to start with considering that bike was known for performance and on the street the sporty doesnt quite deliver.

Now we know what the VRSCR SHOULD have looked like! That looks like a V-max hunter. (The new V-max, not the old wobbly frame max.)

You know it's only a matter of time... by my conservative estimate, in 10 years the Revolution engine will be on all the bikes, or at least sporties (if they haven't come out with something better.) And yes I'm trying to think of the glass as half full and being unrealistically optimistic. I love my Night Train... but soooooo wish i had more performance. We all know guys sitting around bragging about getting 80hp out of a near 700lb bike is a moot point.

Bring on the Revolution

Teddy,
I'm not sure I can go back to an airhead. My wife's car has 5hp LESS than my bike and she has twice the cylinders and displacement! I even get better gas mileage (though not by much ).

Look up a Harley proto-type during the latter AMF years called the "Nova"... It will look very familiar esp. when you read the engine specs! HD went with the Evolution instead so one can omly wonder "what if"...

The Nova ia no secret. It wasn't a secret in the 70s either. It also has 4 cylinders. Compare the Nova engine to some of the Japanese sport bike 4-bangers. When the Nova was in development, the Yamaha XS-Eleven was "the" cruiser. Nothing on the road could match it.
