Any Tips on Reducing Turbulence from the Touring Shield?

I bought the quick-release touring shield for my VRSCAW and think it's great for being so quick and easy to mount and dismount. However, I get so much turbulence off the top of the shield that it blurs my vision and makes my ears ring from the racket as it drums my helmet. I've experimented with moving it up and down within the approximate 2 inches of available travel, to no avail.

Anybody have any experience with something like the Laminar Lip or anything else that might reduce the turbulence?

it looks like you're too tall for the touring shield do they have a king size for it? if not rifle windshields may be able to custom make a taller one.
