Question: Since I am new to HD's, have an 09 Dyna Low that I am really loving, but also have an 08 Busa that gives me the kicks.
I have actually considered trading the Busa for a V Rod, but since I have not ridden one and know nothing about them ...how comparable are they to a Busa, that is if anyone has ridden a Busa and knows.
I seriously would like to have some opinions..

Well... pretend you mashed your Busa and the Low-Rider together and they had a child...
The Revo still has more low-end than the Busa, but after first gear the Busa eats it hands down.
On the other hand most people never push the Busa to its limits or really know how to ride it. At the local drag strip there's always a number of Busa guys that show up, and on the 1/4 I can smoke all of them but my buddy who stretched his, and has practiced racing...
If you were to go to a track day... wouldn't even be close... no comparison.

I like that comparison, been riding for 45 years and yes I have used the Busa for what it is.....but I love the V twins, would not look to beating the times I can pull with the Busa but always looking for something different.
Guess I will have to schedule a demo ride and my wife will think that I am starting to show my age and getting a slower bike....but little does she know.
Really? You must be running a 30t? I only get to about 85 in 2nd before I'm well into the red.
I'm dead stock '06, more or less. Sounds like your clutch is slipping. Keep in mind we can do almost 55 in first. Another 30mph would be a really short second gear.
The reason we can sport bikes in the 1/8th is that they can't launch with us. Unless the sport bike is stretched, they go over backwards trying to leave that hard. After the 1/8th it should be all over for us, on stock V-rods. I've had several sport bike owners tell me this.
for all you rodders I'm wondering what a vrod is like to own and ride.I currently have a 2008 screaming eagle springer( 110hp/120tq), 2008 street glide(stock) and a 2003 heritage springer. I find myself gaining interest in the vrods (i do plan a demo ride) and was hoping some of you may have or had similar situations and could share your thoughts. Most of my riding is local weekend stuff but i do like to get out on the road for longer trips. Trips most likely would be solo with other riding being 2 up maybe 40% of the time .If it matters I'm going on 47 years young. I would be replacing 2 of my bikes if I di pull the trigger on a vrod. Thanks in advance for any input. BE SMART,BE COOL!
I love my AW widiculously comfy cruising position and speed on standby when you need it what more could you ask for...
BTW this is my first HD but have always dreamed of owning one, rode the bikes my family had (HD's and others) and liked every bike but just fell in love with the vrod look. Now finally I got my own super happy I waited co'z now they come withe the supersweet 240 rear...
