Default First ride report

Not a good picture but I just got back from a 150 mile first ride. The dealer called while I was at Sturgis that the bike came in.

I ordered it with ABS and security. The dealer drove down to a dealer in Tenn. and had to exchange an Ultra for it on a dealer trade.

In my years of riding starting in 1956, my favorite bike was the 1969 Norton Commando Fastback that I had then. No bike came close to it until now. I am used to power cruisers and have had VTX1800's and a 1832 cc Rune.

I only got it to have one of each of the HD bike families. But I should have gotten it first.

Even with only 150 miles, I got on it a little after the 100 mile mark. It corners well, has the stiff suspension that I like, great brakes. Shifting is outstanding.

Best of all is that it looks awesome. Many Harley riders that don't like water cooling are missing out because of their short sided thinking.

I may be a rarer rider because of my beard and 71 years of age. I don't think I will meet others like me on a V-Rod.

V-Rod is a great bike...no doubt. I wish I still had mine.
