Gear Indicator not working

Has anyone put on a Harley Gear Indicator (70900078)?

I just installed one and it only shows me when I'm in Neutral. In any gear all I get is a dash.

Would it matter if I have a Thundermax?

Same problem with same fuel management,,, no answer yet!

Great. I have the HD indicator on my VRSCDX and it just flipped out today.... haven't poked around with it yet... checking to see if anyone else has had issues. :/
