Thinking about adding a Night Rod Special...

It seems by far that the most used Night Rod Specials are from 2008. Any reason? Was that the year that HD introduced the bigger motor?

Also, any changes of significance between the 2008 and the 2012 or 2013 models?

the original 07 came out with a supposed 1130cc, read in some cycleworld that was disputable... 2008 model came with the 1250 and an optional ABS brakes...and the newest one now have inverted forks, reduced reach controls and handle bars... the bigest thing that doesn't tickle my fancy is the rear fender is slanted up like a crotch rocket and the tail light looks like a victory reject...

I like the rear fender on the 2013 model but hate the 240 rear and forward controls , those to thing really take away from the croch rocket feel .kmsl ,
