Of course our v-rods are harleys, but not the regular run of the mill harley! I have owned several harleys, but I do not expect this one to sound like a v-twin. It is a muscle bike not a dyna wideglide or fatboy!
Go to the 1130CC forum and do a search. The mod a lot of guys recommend to give a bit of the throaty sound without a tuner or new pipes is to drill holes in the end of the exhaust. I have attached one link to the 1130 site that basically explains what this is about. PS I did not do this mod. I like mine just the way she sounds. Myself personally I would put on a Von Braun roadsters. I talked to them and they can fit on a VROD. Here is the link. Not cheap $649 but good quality. http://www.vonbraunusa.com/roadstersA.html
We have a CFR exhasut on our Street Rod. This bike sounds insane! Deep as can be and a super lower rumble. After taking it for a spin and getting back on my other Harley's, I wanted to figure out how to get the VROD sound on them. Check them out. http://www.1130cc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10647

I had 6 different exhausts on my first V and I agree the CFR is the best!
Bud your v-rod will never sound like a regular harley.
No, never like my 08 Night Train, stage II, with Samson Shorties, but after some research 'Tabs' makes a decent sounding set of pipes, big improvement. Much better than the Vance & Hines, Rineharts or any of the others I've found so far....still searching tho!
