RIPSAW,
The V-Rod does not have lifters. It has a Shim Bucket setup and 4 overhead cams that are in direct contact with the top of the bucket. The Shim is under the bucket between the top of the valve and inside the bucket. The valve lash is achieved by using different thickness of shims
Ok, with you. My Toyota has a similar setup with round button shims. Thanks.

Hal and Ripsaw, thanks for the help. This is definitely enough to get me started with what little i can check and have the shop check. Hopefully ill get a full diagnosis and let you guys know what the exact problem is and how to fix for further help.
Precisely 2 months since then, riding it close to once a week or so(planning a couple long excursions in August + Sept) The motor light and electric storage device light went ahead and it puttered on quickening soon after... also ceased to exist mid ride once more.
Sorry for the long delay on the final diagnosis(was away traveling for work)... Turns out my "Voltage Regulator" was shot... They told me it can often be overlooked on the tune-up and diagnostic.
Not sure if thats true or not.. but i was only charged for 1/2 hour of maintenance. And the new part.
Sound right to you guys?
Would sound great to me if it fixes your problem. Regulator take special test stuff and about only way a user can check is proper voltage output at 2000 rpm and that the battery stays charged and does not overcharge. Not sure why it killed your motor unless your battery was just getting so low. Would surely took 1/2 hour to check and replace. Since they sort-of missed it before, been nice of them to just took profit from regulator but someone needs to feed the mechanic's kids and the fat cats would rather you do it then them.
