The wife really wants this bike. Went to the dealer today and he had the denim black with orange accents. The exact one she wants. He said 15500 otd. Thinking of trading my old (her) switchback he said 13 on trade. Gonna bring her in on Saturday to see if she still likes it after riding it. I want to give it a rip as well. A little small for me but looks fun. Dealer also said he has a 13 he could get me out for 13 and change otd. Prices seem good. Taking a loss of 2k on fld but I think his price will make up for it. What do you think, price fair?

Sounds fair to me. I looked at a 2012 Nightrod with 6600 miles the other day. The local dealer was asking $15000.00 which just made me walk away. I'm sure he would have come down some but when you start out that high it just turns me off.
I don't know what changed from '13 to '14 on the VRODS but the 2013 sounds like a good deal also. I'm still looking for my NightROD so will be interested in what you end up with.
My wife went from a Streetglide to a Sportster but man did she look hot sitting on that Night rod the other day. Maybe I can talk her into one too !
I bought an older one used so I couldn't tell you. Seems like they deal more on v rods than street glides. FYI I found the v rod cool but uncomfortable, I changed the seat, bars an added offset pegs an now I love the feel.
Well after the demo, she loved it so we bought it. Will pick it up after they put new pipes on it. She said she could not hear it. I never road it, it doesn't look comfortable but I will take it for a ride when we pick it up.
Gatorlaw, looks are deceiving ! I have a 13 NRS and I love the ride. The general conception when some other Harley rider looks at it and says it looks uncomfortable but, I own several model of Harleys and my NRS out rides any of them hands down!

i've been looking at several used rods in my area.
maybe its just me but i've been far more comfortable on the ones i've test ridden with mids than forwards. and i hate the stock seat.
Waiting on the dealer call today. The new pipes are supposed to be in today. Hopefully they get them installed so we can pick it up today. I am eager to give it a whirl.
I finally got a chance to ride the bike myself and while the seat isn't bad, the bars are too low and the fowards are not forward enough. I it were my ride, I'd have to either switch to mids or stretch the front out a bit. The bars might be fine with that mod but I think I'd still like them up a couple of inches (I ride with apes) but its not mine, so I guess I'll have to add some hp to my king!
