My cousin has a 06 night rod and its leaking from a housing by the exhaust I have a pic but I can't upload it from mobile is it the tstat housing? I dont own a vrod I dont know its on the right side by the exhaust thanks
It is most likely leaking from the hose that comes out of the top of the water pump on the right side of the bike. Take the lower hose clamp off and slide the hose off the water pump. You won't be able to take the upper hose clamp off because it is a plastic shrink clamp.
Once the hose is disconnected from the water pump you will see a build up of corrosion on the housing. Clean it up with a scotch bright pad and reinstall the hose.
I had to do this to my vrscd every couple years. Hope this helps.
