Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum and I need your input on the new Harley's.
After riding a couple Honda's (Shadow, VTX), it's time to move back into a Harley and I'm kinda partial to the new FatBoy. Anyone have good or bad experience with this bike? DO you suggest fuel injected or carb and why?
Thanks in adavance for your help...and keep riding!!!
Greetings from New Jersey - Use the search function as these topics have been well covered with lots of good info - You will see two themes - A lot of folks talk about the pro's and con's of the solid wheel and the other is the never ending talk about fuel injection and the true Harley sound - I say fuel injection all the way but a lot of guys a whole smarter then me will make a good case for a carb - Good luck but the beauty is that no matter what you decide you come out a winner on a Fat boy!
Howdy, welcome to the forum. What I would do is take the Fat Boy for a test run and if I liked how it handled and felt while riding it, than that's the one that I would buy. You said that you were already partial to it, so that might be the one for you. I had the same question about efi or carb and I went with efi on my Springer. There's a good possibility that it will open up a debate on which is better or worse, but the efi will be easier for those that don't want to tinker with their bike and all that they want to do is ride. The Carb, you might be able to tinker with it and enjoy doing it. The efi will automatically adjust itself for different elevations when traveling and the carb might need some adjusting as you change elevation. I'm sure that others will come along and help you with some more ideas. Good luck
Welcome to the forum and I know you'll get a lot of input if you post in the forums for these choices that you mention. They can give you the in's and outs of the bikes.
