Talking Noobie

Hi hdforum members, I'm a looooong time lurker. I use to have a Road King and a custom chopper built by Rick Fairless. Both bikes were sweet! Unfortunately, when the economy collapsed, so did I. I had to sell my beloved bikes. The good news, I'm back in the saddle with a beautiful 2007 Harley Deluxe with only 4300 miles. Let the mods begin!!

The style I'm gong with is the "Cholo" style. I'm going with 39" with Shotgun shocks, not to mention other mods.

I have a few questions...

1) Lately I have read that Samson is having customer service issues. Have they gotten their act together? Where is the best and cheapest place to buy them?

2) Shotgun Shocks... I have email JD a few times and is truly a stand up guy. I haven't heard of one complaint about him. Samson could learn a few things from him about running a biz. I don't really have a question about SS. Just wanted to give him a plug.

3) Where does a person go to get custom parts for a Deluxe? I have seen SoCal bikes with parts I've never seen before and I have done lots of research.

4) Fat Daddy wheels... What is the difference between the DNA and Ride Wrights? I know DNA have 2 extra spoke and are a lot cheaper. Is it fit and finish?

5) Are the Progressive shocks the best way to lower the front end?

That's about all for now. Just wanted to get my 1st post out of the way and introduce myself.

I can't seem to PM or create anymore threads. Anyone know why? I can't even reply to the administrators message that he sent me. Kinda frustrating. Can anyone help?

Thanks everyone! Could someone please contact an admin on my behalf? I'm unable to create a thread in the classifieds and other areas. I'm also unable to reply to a message I received from an admin.

Thanks!

You gotta be active in for 30 days in order to post in the classifieds.
You'll be able to do all the things you're asking about in a few days as your post count grows. Get into some threads that interest you and ask questions, you'll get there.
