I just found the forum, and wanted to drop a hello. I am planning on getting a new nightster as soon as a can find one in stock. I have owned a FXD in the past, then switched over to metric bikes trying a couple crotch rocket type bikes, and a cruiser. The metrics didn't last too long with me due to lack of interest or excitement to ride. Really sorry I ever traded in the FXD. So when I saw the new 1200N, I knew it was time to correct the FXD mistake. It was designed with about everything design feature I like, except for the spoke wheels.
I test rode a 2006 1200C to get a feel for the sportsters, and I was quite impressed. It had much more pull compared to what I remember the FXD had. Hopefully, in the next couple of weeks, one of the stores will get one in. Probably won't mod it much to begin with. Maybe a corbin seat to start out, or something similar. Can't seem to find any pipes that I like for it.
Anyway, before I get too sidetracked, Hello! and look forward to talking with you all.
