Hello all,
I just signed up to the forum, 2/10/15. I recently purchased a used 2007 FLHPI
Of course as soon as I got it home this record snowfall in our area started and hasn't stopped yet. We are at 92" with more expected this weekend.
During this down time I've been trying to decide on some customizations, but one thing that surprises me, when I checked the VIN online it says the motor is an 883. I was under the impression there was supposed to be a larger motor on the FLHPI.
Guess I need to do some more research before I start anything.
Stay safe out there!
Head over to the forum for the model you have, or to the tech area to find out more.
Your Road King 2007 should have a 103" / 1690cc engine. FLHPI
It may be possible that you have the Peace Officer model and not the police officer motor bike. A way to check is by the vin #. The 5th & 6th digits should be either FH = Police FLHP Road King, FM =Police FLHTP Electra Glide and FT = Police PLHPE Road King. FLHPE and FLHP are different in certain lighting, noise and emission components.
There were even some "Special edition" that were put out with 96" engines.
You could have mis typed something. Check on the bike to make sure, & check the motor number also.
