New forum member long time rider more on then off for the last 30 years. First bike was a Yamaha Maxim 550 that I bought when I lived in NJ with my parents when I was 17 and had to hide it at a friends house until I turned 18, lol. Two years later I bought my first Harley, an 883 Sportster. Over the last 28 years I have owned two Softail Customs, two Springers, a Road King, a Buel, a Triumph, and an Ultra classic. Been off two wheels for about 3 years and decided to go back to my roots with an Iron 883 Sportster(2013, didn't care for the 2014-15 changes). Got an incredible deal with it only having 921 miles on it. I can afford any Harley(within reason) I want and after owning a bunch of big twins I can honestly leave my ego behind and go back to the bike I had the most fun riding. I'm only 175 lbs and 5-6", the lighter bike just feels better and I can push it backwards almost like its a bicycle. Just a perfect fit for me and I think it looks KILLER! Did the same V&H Short Shots that everyone else puts on becauses, well everyone else puts them on for the same reason, they look and sound awesome! Next will probably be a spring solo seat, drag bars and forward controls. Can honestly say I haven't even seen one on the road hear in the Denver area and lots of people are surprised that it's a sporty. Anyway, just wanted to say hi with proper forum edict.
