I am not currently a Harley owner. I am not sure I will be one any time soon either. I have always thought they were beautiful machines, and came very close to a purchase back around 1999.
I had a deposit on a Roadglide, but backed out after taking it for a test ride. I am no speedster, but it was just too slow for my taste. I am hoping that the engine in the V-Rod makes it to the touring models soon. Then maybe I will take a closer look. That is if Triumph doesn't turn their Rocket III into a touring bike first. 150 HP on a cruiser, nice... And I am one of those that actually like the look.
I stopped in the local HD dealer yesterday, and was looking at the bikes, and I have to say they are still appealing to me. I thought I would check out some of the forums to find out what people are saying about them now.
Bikes I have owned:
1978 Yamaha 650 Special II
1986 Honda Shadow 1100
1995 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500
1986 BMW K1200RT
2001 BMW K1200LT
2004 Honda ST1300
On the horizon?
Honda ST1300
Harley Roadglide
Triumph Rocket III
