If you want some advice, here it is; If you've never ridden before, and are seriously considering it, sign up for a motorcycle safety crse in your area. You'll learn the right way, learn on someone else's bike AND get a real feel for whether you've got the makings of a rider. (Not everyone does...) I spent5 years as an instructor, when I lived in Ottawa, and believe me I saw more than a few people who'd already committed thousands of dollars in gear and bikes, only to realize there is a big difference between dreaming about riding, and actually riding. There were a few who even quit partway through the two day course because they realized it wasn't for them. I am not trying dissuade you. On the contrary, I'm saying GO FOR IT! Stop dreaming, and get doing!! Check it out, and get yourself signed up for a course asap!! I'll tell you now...once the bug bites, you'll be hooked for life. Welcome to the forum. Lots of great people here, and tons of great advice. Have fun, and GET RIDING!!
