Just checkin' in from a little outside of Dothan, AL. Had and built Harleys since I was 19 (first build = first pic) in 1974. After owning 10 or 12 different ones, I had to hang it up for a horrendous back surgery in 2001. Various degrees of success with the surgery and a few other debilitating health issues over the intervening 14 years later, and I decided that healthy or not, livin' without my knees in the breeze just wasn't worth livin' at all, so instead of checkin' out, I just re-upped for what's left of my life for another two-wheeled tour of duty. Bought me a nice little gently-used Road King with backrests for both me and the ol' lady, and enough luggage space to carry a change of clothes or three, plus all the Geritol and adult diapers an old man and ol' lady can go through in a week! HA!
My first bike (and first build) was red, and so is what will most likely be my last one:
Will be here mostly lookin' for tips & tricks on these new-fangled Twin Cams, but I did notice a sub-forum for guns and politics, so I may stick my nose in those fora from time to time too. Also lookin' for folks to ride with and/or for events in my neck 'o the woods since we've been out of the scene for so long and moved from North Bama down here to God's Country in SE Bama in the interim. Guess I'll see ya's around.
