Hello from Omaha

Its been a life long dream to own a Harley and as of about a week ago, it finally happened. I've ridden since I was a kid, even raced motocross for a few years when I was younger but then got too busy with life to enjoy it for quite awhile. All the time though, when I would hear the exhaust of a Big Twin or see a stretched out Low Rider, I'd step back into "lala land" for a few moments.
I've been raising my amazing teenage daughter on my own since she was 11, she'll be 18 this summer. She's a great kid and has tolerated all of the mistakes I've made raising her. Though I now have the bike finally, it will still be awhile before I can go on any rides of any length. I'm still looking forward to short trips and errand runs in the meantime!
I rode it home Sunday, it was supposed to get up to 43 here in Omaha. It was 36, close enough
Yesterday at noon, it was 44, so I rode it to the local HD Dealer and picked up some leather gloves. I really, really love the look and style of this bike and the previous owner(s) did a great job with accessories and bolt-ons. It literally needs nothing. I will be able to focus any money towards it on maintenance and mechanical needs to keep it rolling for many more years!Lastly, if you're a member here Jeff, thank you. I love the bike and wish you much luck and many safe rides on your new Unlimited!
The photos are from the previous owner and must have been taken sometime last year. Right now, it's just too gloomy and grey outside to get any decent photos. I'll be sure to upload new ones though as the miles start to add up!
Thanks all, I'm looking forward to being part of this community!
Much respect...
Cliff
