I started riding last spring after I took the msf course and got my motorcycle license. Shortly after the course I bought a new Kawasaki Vulcan S 650 which I put a couple thousand miles on last summer. I ride with a few friends who have Harleys and we have swapped bikes a few times. I think they do it just to see the smile that torque can put on my face. Hopefully I will upgrade to my own Harley in the next year or so, but until then I'll continue riding and lurk around here to learn what I can.
Welcome aboard. Hang in there, my first bike was some Suzuki 650 that I enjoyed because I was young and at least had something. I finally just bought myself my first Harley and the smile hasn't come off my face yet. Can't speak for everyone but I think a big part of my happiness from my new bike was finally going down the road with it and realizing the dream from years ago. You'll get there and it'll be well worth it.
