Disappointing First Experience
First of all,let Me thank you for your service to this Great Country.
Sorry to hear of your bad experience but there are some good Dealers out there. My local dealer is awesome and like RKJoe said if they get to know you they tend to help you out with little things.Enjoy the new ride and I hope things turn around for you.
Here is a site that might hep you find a better dealer for your needs.

Attitudes about service have been degrading for years around the globe so don't feel that the "tudes" ya ran into are only at Harley dealers.
Restaurants can be pretty "amusing" if ya in a good mood when ya enter.

As far as motorcycle dealers there is a Duc dealer in my area that the "tude" of the sales manager is pretty amazing

The key part of your story is that YOU have the bike YOU want and you have generally found someone to work on it.
There are four (4) Harley dealers in my area (small city), are you in a area with only one (1) dealer?
Enjoy your bike and ride safe.
Guess I'm a "glass is half full" guy.

Yes don't get down on the One bad apple thing.
I just retired from the AF, I didn't know about the cool deal you got, sounds pretty sweet.
Probably blew my warranty installing accessories

So I got me one of them there service manual in Daytona at this years Bike Week.
