Welcome to the Forum! Just get the bike you want now. I sort of went through the same decision earlier a couple weeks ago. Wait for the 17's or buy one now. I chose to buy one now because of 2 reasons. 1 After owning 7 Harley's i knew i wanted another Fatboy. 2 the 103 engine IMO is a better engine then the 110 because it runs cooler and is more reliable and with a few tweeks it can be just as powerful. I could have went with the Fatboy S with the 110 this year if i wanted. But i chose the Chrome 103HO version instead. In the end its your choice but in reality coming off a sport bike like you did and jumping into the world of cruisers im sure you know after your test ride these are not high performance bikes. Its more about cruising , enjoying your surroundings ,looking good, customizing, the sound of the pipes and the over all experience and feeling the bike gives you. 4 extra horsepower and 10 more ft lbs of torque in a 800lbs bike isnt going to make a big difference. And if it does you can tune a 103 to make some really good power with the right set up! If it were me and it was a few weeks ago id buy now and enjoy the riding season.
