Newbie from Saginaw,Michigan. Bought home a new sportie 48 today, it was actually ready to yesterday but I decided to a wait day before bringing 'er home.
30 years ago I bought my first motorcycle from Mendon Jims down in Ohio. I gotta say it still feels the same. GREAT! Back then it was a 883 Sportster, 1986. First year for the Evo engines. Harley was running a promo- you could buy an 883 for $3995 cheep or an ironhead for $53hundred-something, I forget. And they would give you your $3995 back, every cent, if you wanted to trade up to a big twin the next year or three, whatever. Loved that little scooter, still miss it today! Went through a couple more sportsters and an '07 Superglide since. That '07 was a great year to buy- came with fuel injection, six speed, 96", a fat tire on the back the 49 mm fork tubes. Nephew swindled it off me. Bastadds!!
I'm retiring and got a great deal, this ones a keeper. Will post pics when I figure out how. By the way- Howdy!!
