Just signed up. Been riding on and off for years and just got back into it a few years ago. Previously owned a 02 Lowrider and sold that and bought a 05 Roadking. 22 years in the Army currently in Fairbanks, Alaska on my way to Colorado Springs in about 3 weeks.
David,
You can get 5 to 6 months riding here in Alaska. Some of it is going to be pretty cold though. Basically from April to October and it depends on when it snows in October. The summers are great though because you can ride 24 hours a day here. You just have to watch out for the moose. I hauled my Lowrider to Colorado Springs in September, sold it and bought an 05 Road King. It's sitting in my garage in Colorado Springs now just waiting to be ridden. I'll probably be heading to Iraq in June, so I'll have about 4 months of riding before I go.

Good luck with the Iraq thing, brother. I've got a tour in Afghanistan, and a tour in Iraq. I don't envy you. Saw the 64 in your handle...are you in some way involved with Apaches?
Mac,
The 64 thing is the year I was born. Nothing to do with helicopters. I'm just a desk jockey. I do have some pics of my Road King and I will try and post.
