Welcome; big bikes are great. You would have found yourself wanting one some time down the road anyway. Take your time, take a MSF course, and get yourself a copy of the "Ride Like A Pro" dvd. Good Luck!
Welcome from the Texas Gulf Coast region. That seems like a good price. And usually you start out on a smaller bike. But at 6'4" and 240 a starter bike for us normal size humans would probably look about how you look on that bike. Take some rider safety courses and you'll be good.
