Head removal
Help,,, I had gotten a good deal on a 2000 1200c sportster. Problem, the guy that
sold it to me had tried to do some work on the rocker box and at the same time he
had snapped a bolt off in the head. Do I need to take the entire engine out of the
frame and have it tapped out or can I just take the top part of the head off and get
at it that way? I hope 2 grand was still worth it.

Your going to have to make enough room to get an extractor in there. If you don't have a bolt extractor, or don't know how to do this kind of work take it to a dealer or any reputible mechanic. If you can get the head off, just take it to any mechanic (automobile or motorcycle). They'll know how to get it out.
