Hello all, buying my first bike tomorrow. Taking my MSF course at a Harley Dealership in two weeks... I know... cart before the horse. Last time I rode a motorcycle it was a dirt bike about 20 years ago... So starting from scratch. Bike I'm looking at is a used 2015 heritage softail classic with stage 1 upgrade. Great condition, 11,000 miles on it. I'm 6'2", 210#s. Need something that rides 2 up after I have some time on the bike (part of wifes approval conditions). I know some say to start smaller but i dont want to trade out a bike in the near future. Going to take it slow. Being that I've never bought a bike before, is $13.9 too much to pay? Dealer took my first offer, caught me by suprise. Deal in cars all the time, never had that happen. Dealer is also paying for the MSF course taken at another dealership... Looking forward to learning from everyone on here, thanks in advance!
Welcome from down the road !
Good call on the MSF, did the same thing after not riding sense the 80s.
Buddy got a 13 Heritage (2k miles, $16) after not riding for 20 years and loves it. Good bike for a good start IMO.
Enjoy !
