Default New Ride

Hello all. Have been riding my new 06 Sporty for just over four weeks now and having a big time. It had been almost 20 years since my last ride. My son bought himself an old scoot (99 Sportster 1200) over a year ago and gave me the fever. I bought the XL883L (I'm just a little over 5'8" tall") wanted to make sure I had not forgotten how to ride. The wifey insisted I take the MSF course before I bought the bike and am so glad I did. Plan on taking the experienced rider version soon. I have already changed the slip-ons, rejetted the carb and added a high-flow. I had almost forgotten how much fun I was missing.
Ride Safe. This is a pic before I made the changes. Can't stop long enough to get new pic !

Welcome cmorris! A buddy of mine at work is looking at the exact model. It will be his 1st street bike and I was wondering how the new rubber mount rides? I hear is pretty smooth, so I figured I'd ask someone who has one.

Welcome again and Ride Safe,
Nailz

Thanks for the welcome, tell your buddy he will really appreciate the new mounts on the engine. Vibration is minimal, even at 65-70 mph. They made improvements to the clutch and the tranny shifts smoooooth. Enjoy the ride !
