Default Oil

If my oil in my 2006 Electra glide is low can I put a little bit of a different type of oil in it to bring it level or two different types of oil is a bad thing in engine??? Please let me know y’all’s thoughts on this matter, or should I just pay for a oil change and go from there! It isn’t do for one from my knowledge, i recently bought the bike

This is the welcome area and doesn't get much forum traffic so I'm sure your question would be better answered in the appropriate forum section. As for adding oil most says to not mix oil of a different viscosity or mix synthetic and conventional, etc. I would like to add that as soon as I buy a used bike I change the oil even if the PO says its just been changed. Call that peace of mind or call it being OCD. lol
Good luck and enjoy your new ride.

Welcome: Just try to use the same kink of oil ie: if the bike has Synthetic oil use that kind Brand will make no difference just to top it off.But If your out on the road and your bike needs oil and mean over a Qt. use anything and I mean anything, if an emergency happens use anything than change it when you get home.
