If you are trying to post an "avatar" that's the pic that shows up under your name on the left, then you need to go to My Profile up top and load the picture. Before you do that, make sure your picture is the right size. Cannot be any larger than 125x125 px. Use a photo editing software to resize. When you do that, it will show up in every post you make, so you don't have to worry about "testing" your avatar, it will be in the posts already made as well. Just look at this thread and see if it worked.
