My name is Flattop, I was disabled in a MC accident on job as a Harley Master Tech. Excuse me asking questions that a M-Tech should know. Memory loss involved with other disabilities.
im into this 12 years now and starting a build with the bones of a 76 shovel. Wife is not happy. But disabilities will keep me in Parish. (County to most of you) this winter I built my own 16x3 40 spoke wheels. Wrapped in vintage Firestone. Was looking at drag bars to bend at waist and use lower back more as a springboard. Looked at bike good today to see direction its going. In the coming days Ill post some pics and will try to swap someone my Springer front end for a shorter one. It had 21 wheel and now that fat 16, theres just too much space. Will need help identifying mine (brand) so I know the trade is more even. Trade will have to be in Louisiana for swap. Anyway, it will be nice to get information from guys that can save me some steps. Talk soon Rear of bike I really like. Gonna leave shocks to help back problems. Gonna use two 1930 Model A stop lights bolted where fender mounted utilizing the bolt and it looks great. No electric starter. Kick with 120lb wife on 2nd kick. Got that work out of the way. Build, ride for test, tear down, built sand blast cabinet past winter, gonna build 5x5x5 powder oven, make the parts shine, reassemble. 16s and vintage Firestone. Too much space above tire. Not gonna have front fender. Need to identify brand of Springer if anyone can tell me how.
