I was headed your direction once with the intention of riding the Parkway from beginning to end. The guys I was with chickened out so we turned back just after the state line. Did get to stop through Mt. Airy and see Mayberry though. I've rode The Dragon a few times, Moonshiner 28 and 441/Smokey Mountain Expressway a bunch over into Gatlinburg, TN but I like going up into the NC,TN,VA corner on all the windy backroads. Before our daughter my dream was to head up through Shenandoah Valley. Now that I'm riding again and she's getting older that could become a reality soon.
