While I'm partial to the Batwing fairing, if there weren't Street Glides, I'd probably be on a Road Glide.
My first bike was an r90s, and my second an r1200c. That r1200c was smooth riding comparted my current Street Glide.
i love the ride, and it's way more comfortable than son's softail was, but an aftermarket suspension will likely be in order if you go with either.

Welcome Old Guy from Colorado... I'm an older guy from Colorado. I've owned Honda's (ST's and a Wing among them) in the past, also an IBA guy... those days in the past as well. I now have a SGS. Good luck on your hunt.
