i wasn't limiting myself to a Sportster because of my newness to bikes. i'm looking at the price tag. i've seen a lot of really nice bikes i like. but the wallet is only so fat ya know?

hello to everybody! thanks for such a warm welcome. now can anybody address my origianl question? would the sportster 883 Low be a good bike to start on? i'm sure this topic has been breeched before so if ya don't wanna answer maybe you can point me in the direction of where to search for an answer. thanks for your time.

My son purchased an 883 for his first "harley". He is totally thrilled with it a year and a half later. Plans on buying 2nd bike next year.
