Lightbulb Help with Rocker Brake light.

Just got a used Rocker C and the blinkers were removed and in a box of parts. They have three wires in a black sleeveand the wire coming out the fender has 4 and in a gray sleeve, I am wondering if they are from a different bike and if they are the correct ones how do you hook the three wires to the four wires? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

OP; What color are the wires on each (front & rear)? Also, recommend a Service Manual as the wiring schematics are critical for any/all self-maint.

Welcome tho!

Welcome from Spartan Country, Michigan!
I tell a lot of new comers to the forum to get: Factory Service manual and the Parts manual. Take to an office supply store and have them put a spiral binder in place of the glued binder. That will let the manuals lay flat on your bench. Get a three ring binder and record all your maintenance, repairs, accessories, etc. This will be a great reminder of what was done when. And great material to pass along to the new owner should you sell and upgrade. Also know how large your fuel tank is, a rough idea of your range per tank, and record your fuel usage. I have an app called Simply Auto that I record all my fuel used. I use the odometer and use the fuel gage as reference only. I reset the odometer to zero on fill ups, and I know I can safely get 200 miles on a tank on around town riding, and upwards of 230+ on trips.

Default Rocker C rear lights, missing

I just now found the responses, so thank you first of all. I took some pictures of them and will take a bit to figure out how to post them. This is the first forum I have used it's a bit different than the software I have used before. the bike is a 2010 Harley Davidson (FXCWC). I just purchased it on Friday night, and it had no brake light or taillight or any blinkers on it. I was given a box of parts and there were two blinkers in it with some other parts, like the original seat, and handlebars. I live in Texas, and before you can get a title and register a motorcycle, it must pass inspection. To pass I have to have a taillight and break light in working condition. They do not require blinkers. My first problem to figure out was where the break light was located originally as the bike has a red nail polish over the License plate light that is mounted to the rear fender. LOL, no idea why the heck they did that. So, in trying to learn that information, I was able to determine that this bike came stock with a break/run/turn combination light that looks just like all the blinkers from other Harleys I have owned, both Softails and Dyna WG's, all look pretty much the same and have two wires. The turn signals that I received have three, and the wire coming out the side of the fender has 4. This is my first problem, I have tried every combination possible and had no luck getting the brake light to work, I did figure out how to get the taillight and a blinker but not at the same time. I have looked up all the wire diagrams and they are not clear to me as far a having to rewire a cut wire when the colors and number of wires do not match. The three wires on the blinker are also different colors than the ones coming from the bike fender. I called the person I got the bike from to ask him if he might have given me the blinkers off of a different bike. He assured me that they were the ones he took off, then started to tell me how I should reinstall them, but it was clear he had less knowledge than I did. I know the best way is to purchase a new wire harness and new rear light assembly. But I need to use the little money I have left to do a couple other things to be able to ride the bike that might be really expensive to have done. So with that being said I am looking for the most cost effective way to make the lights work. I hope you have a better understanding of my problem and I have added enough information. Now I am going to work on getting pictures added. Thank you for your help.
