I appreciate the tips! R-bar-j, I'm also from SA! Caliente Harley is where I'm getting my lessons from in a few weeks!
Just a follow up on what I've been trying to decide upon. Comparing some motorcycles but I'm not sure I know what a good price is or not. Looking at a 2012 Road king with 45k miles. $9995 from a dealership out of state. I found a 2011 Road King with less miles costing about the same. Then I found a 2007 Road King with mileage near the same as the 2011, but only $1k cheaper. So I'm not sure how the evaluations are made?
Pics of the motorcycles I'm referencing. I'm not basing my preference on color (I would want to repaint any of them regardless or at least get a wrap):
2012 Road King 45k miles - $9995 (dealership)
2011 Road King 14.5k miles - $9250 (private owner)
2007 Road King 15k miles - $8300 (private owner)

I'd go with the 2012 for the 103 motor,it pulls really nice.
I rented a 2016 Electra with the 103 when my old bike was down for repairs and it was a nice ride.
Well, this happened faster than I imagined. Went to window shop - walked out with paper work (since I’m not allowed to drive it yet). Here’s my first ever motorcycle!
I don't own a motorcycle yet but based on my research, it looks like I'm going to want a Road King. I have my classes coming up in a few weeks. Getting excited! Got my helmet and gloves.
Pretty certain I'll be buying used (once I can figure out how to save up enough). Though I am getting mixed reviews from people I know personally about whether I should consider EFI or Carb engines. The most I've done is replace front brake pads and oil on a Suzuki XL7. I'm not entirely confident I'd keep up with cleaning the carb. But, I do like the price point and the idea they are pretty much done depreciating.
Definitely a lot I want to learn about mods (must haves and not worth it). Hopefully able to be able to join the community for real with a motorcycle in the future!
Welcome to the forums
