I have a 03 FXSTD which I bought 2 months ago (my first HD). It did not take long before the "customization" process consumed my time and bank account. The bike is really starting to take on its own identity, I love it! My wife enjoys riding as a paasenger and looks forward to long road trips on it.
My Problem: This is not the bike for touring. I'm considering the new FLHXI Street Glide. Because of my inexperience I'm having a hard time finding the "right words" to express the benefits of a touring bike over my Deuce. To her, a bike is a bike.
How about, "This one is a cadillac, it will allow us more time together as we will be able to enjoy the ride a little better."
On another note, that bike doesn't ride as well as the EG Classic, or EG STD, or Ultra...take a test ride on each of them, have her with you, you won't have to explain anything.
Welcome!! Like Mac says, a testride will sell the bike for you...and then you're just agreeing with what your wife wants!! How about some pics of your current bike?
Big South Texas Welcome!! I would recommend a 3 - 4 hour trip and include some 'bumpy' stretches, but do not make any rest stops too frequently... She should be complaining about the seat, the ride, the wind, etc. and then just drop in some facts about the geezer glides... should work.

HELP!!!
Red line..this is an incurable illness. Blue line..I've heard that before. They just don't understand, and you can't explain.[sm=bicker.gif]
