Default Dropping your Harley.

There is a company making a drop guard that bolts onto the bottom of the crash bars. Police departments use them during cycle training. You can Google them and order them. They are about $300.00, still cheaper than buying a saddlebag or fairing. I am 79 years old and a former Detroit Police motorcycle officer, I have dropped my 2023 Anniversary model once NO DAMAGE OR SCRATCHES TO THE BIKE !!

Welcome to the HDFORUM.

I hope you continue to enjoy your ride here.

Only as a suggestion, by me as a USER, create a signature line similar to my one line on my bike information.

The year, model, and all the letters Harley assigned to the bike. It will appear at the bottom of your post.

Doing this will be helpful if you ask a question. All Harleys aren't the same with many changes and variations over the years.

Of course, you can add it to any thread with a question.

You can also add any other details you choose and a favorite picture to the signature lines.

If you like, you can also add another favorite picture for an Avatar you see at the top left of all your posts as a postage stamp.

My 2019 FLHTP has the crash bars front an rear. I have dropped it once at low speed and the bars did their job. If I were to start practicing low speed turns and such I'd consider them. But not for me as a daily rider.
