My Dad was in submarines in WW2, and was in Brisbane for periods between combat patrols (of which he did four).
Until the day he passed...almost 20 year ago, he always talked about how great the city of Brisbane was, and how great the people were. He always wished he could go back........
Next time you take a ride around Brisbane, give a silent prayer for all the sub sailors that are still on eternal patrol, from WW2.
