Default New FXDP
Hello, I just joined this forum. I am a new owner of a Harley FXDP with about 7000 miles. I was in the process of changing all the fluids. Could anyone tell me the capacities of the oil, primary chaincase and tranny? Also ther plug gap would be helpful. Thanks

Howdy from Hershey, Pa. Do yourself a favor and locate a service manual. This stuff is easier with pictures.

Yeah, the service manual is on order! I just thought that some genius on this forum would have a more intelligent answer! I guess I'll have to wait for the US mail to provide one!

Welcome from Atl. Ga.....................What year is your fxdp?
2006 later.......2.5 qts. motor oil........32oz (1qt.)for both the primary and trans
spark plug gap=0.038-0.043in.(0.97-1.09mm)

You may want to post your question in the General Harley section or the Dyna section so that more people will see it. The new member section is kind of a meet & greet place that the general forum population usually doesn't frequent.
