Welcome from Southern California.
I lost my son of 17 almost 15 years ago. It took a few years for the shock of it to wear down to something I could live with. The pain never completely goes away.
3 years ago, I lost one of my best friends. My Mom.
2 years ago, I lost my Dad.
Last year I lost my best friend, My Wife.
I bought my first bike in May this year,I know that this sounds quite shallow but my bike is probably the single most positive thing I have had in my life for quite a while. It has lifted my spirits like nothing else has. I smile more. I laugh now. I can enjoy simple things again, sunsets, trees, fresh air, but most of all... a long winding road ahead of me and my Wide Glide....
All I can say is that it has helped draw me out of my shell and start enjoying life again. I am convinced that all of my lost loved ones smile right along with me now.

My heart goes out to you and my prayers will be there as well. Thank you for telling your story and helping a lot of us put things in perspective. I know my Harley does more for me than any therapist could when life gets tough.
