Howdy, welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your bike getting stolen, sounds like a real bummer.

Thanx for the welcome. I'm glad I found this place, too.

I've been doing a lot of reading, learned a lot of interesting stuff, and started asking some questions.

I get the last bid on the new bike tomorrow, so I'll make a decision on which dealer gets my money. I'll let you know how it goes.

Made a deal this week. '06 Superglide standard, red, no alarm. I talked with three dealers. They were all pretty close on price. Talked with three service managers. Again, all pretty close on engine build ideas. So I went with the one closest to my house; I can almost see their sign from my living room

I have a list of upgrades and parts to add before delivery. Better cams, head work, 95", SERT, pipes, etc. Also functional ride items: windshield, seat, foreward controls. Did you know this bike comes without passenger foot pegs? I learned that this week. No big deal, it's an inexpensive add on. Also, Mustang doesn't make a seat for it; not until spring or summer. Most important is to make it functional and comfortable by spring.

Over the next few years I'll make changes to make it my own. The customization process is a little slow. Look at it for a while, make some changes, look at it some more. It's a function of time, inspiration, and cash.

I'm actually kind of excited about it. There's so much about the new Dyna I like, I think this is going to be a great bike.

I also sent off the claims package to Dairyland/HD this AM. We'll see how that goes.
