Introduction
Thought I would introduce myself and give a bit of background.
I have been riding since I was in my teens with my first bike being a Yamaha maxim 550. Little did I know at the time I was riding probably the most comfortable bike Iwould ever own.
Have ridden dirt bikes over the years owning a yz250 2 stroke and most recent an 05 WR250F that I broke my collarbone on and ended up needing surgery.I owned a few cruisers since the maxim including a Honda Shadow, Yamaha Vstar 1100 (which I did pistons, cams, exhaust, jetting and a lot of chrome and custom body work to). I sold it and bought a FJR1300 which I was totally uncomfortable on and get this I drove to St. Louis to trade it for his 2003 GSXR1000 which I still own.
I also own a CBR600RR which I have riden on the track a few times and love the track but I am slow!
The CBR I have the front forks done to my weight, light weight wheels and a lot of other things done to it.I recently decided that I didn't need 2 sport bikes and the GSXR is really way more power than I need but it is very fun and I am surprisingly very comfortable on it. Stop and go traffic however is a killer, at speed it is awesome.
I decided to go back to a cruiser for the street and perhaps keep the CBR for the track but I didn't want to get just any cruiser and figured I would give HD a try. I have rented a few over the years and knew just what I was getting into.
Last Thursday I picked up a 2008 HD Night Train in Vivid Black and really like it. It does need some more power but considering what I am coming off of I expected that.
Great to have found this place and look forward to learning a few things!
