Hi everyone. Have been a member for a few weeks but taking time to suss everything out before I post. Getting a new bike in the New Year and soaking up all the great info . I am amazed at the helpful friendly people here. A very valuable forum. Spoilt in Australia with year round riding. We tend not to ride due to the heat not the cold! Snow? Sorry don't understand!! Thanks again.
Howdy, Wombat. Good to see another South Aussie on the forums. I'm over in Ceduna, and it was bloody hot here today. Was real bad here this morning... 42 degrees C with 50 knot Northerly winds.
Thanks guys for the welcome. We had your hot weather Sounder up until midday but only a mild 37 C compared to yours. I'll meet you half way when I get my bike
I plan on doing a bit of riding over the next couple of weeks as I'm on leave until late January. I have some friends up in Roxby Downs that I might go visit. Never been there before. May head down to Strathalbyn as well and visit a mate. I reckon that'd be a good ride with all the roads down that way. I'm not too keen on riding through the city though... being a country bloke. Too many crazy cagers once you get passed Port Augusta.
Only drawback of living out here... only a couple of roads to choose from and they're mainly long and straight. Gotta ride for about 4 hours to get to the good stuff.
G'day Wombat, welcome. Great Aussie forum name, that. Good luck with the bike purchase, there are lots of helpful folk here. You can't go past TCSTD for any tech. info.
T wrecks. Frank
Welcome. Hey I was wondering if its true that you guys down under have to use foot straps on your bikes so you don't fall of, riding upside down and all?
