I Joined a while ago but haven't posted, I ride as a passenger on my husbands bike, for now, but I'm looking foward to my own bike real soon. I'm thinking of a sportster because of my small size. Thanks for listening.
Welcome Rosie, My wife started out on the back of mine, and is now riding her own. We got her a Honda shadow to learn on (you don't feel quite as bad when you drop a Honda). After she gets more comfortable, we'll get her a Harley of her own. Take the MSF course, it helped her out a lot. Hope you enjoy the forum.
This may sound a bit odd for you, but you should try sitting on a low-rider. They are a little bit heavier, but the balance and center of gravity sits much lower. You'll feel and be more in control of the bike as opposed to the bike controlling you. You may be really surprised⌠my wife was and she bought the low-rider. She is 5â4ââŚ
Hi Rosie, A big hearty welcome from Southern Virginia. Glad you decided to join in on the fun here. Great Forum...Great Folks!!! Good luck with choosing your new ride, whatever you get I've no doubt you'll love it.
I recently bought a Sportster for my wife to learn on in the spring, so hopefully she'll pass her test and be on the road by summer. Good luck with getting your own bike and enjoy the forum.[sm=smiley20.gif]

Welcome Rosie, glad to have you with us. It's always nice to see gal's grabbing the handlebars, and heading into the wind. Good luck with the Sportster.
